First things first, title-cut “Avo Thal” cuts a path of syncopated elation across the dance floor with its mischievously jagged, batucada-esque rhythm leading the way down an Afro-futuristic kind of headspace. In its second half, the track glides off onto further oneiric, shamanic territories - textured pads scudding over a mystique-imbued tableau flush with minutely arranged envelopes and subtle, therapeutic harmonics.
